    Hi all,

I have a 8 month old male lab at home.

Every time without fail when a new guest comes over, he excitement pees all over the ground. Even if we literally JUST took him outside for a pee a minute before. He does it sometimes when me or my partner gets home, but it is mainly with new people. Unfortunately we live on the 26th floor of a condo so I can’t have all new introductions be done outside. Any tips??

    Thank you :)

Could you ask people coming in to ignore him when they come in (thus being less exciting)? My 16 week old pup is the same, if she greets either me or one of the other dogs in the house. I can ignore her and until she's calmer but I try to make sure she greets the other dogs outside. I'm hoping she'll grow out of it!

Thats a great idea, I have been trying that and it has definitely helped decrease the accidents. Thank you so much!

Most of my pups have done that, they all have grown out of it. It’s quite sweet really they are so overwhelmed to see you. It is definitely a developmental thing, that will just disappear in time.
