Hector is 7 months now. He was born with a cleft palate which was quite small. He was bottle feed by his breeder and although smaller than the rest of the litter has grown strong and boisterous just like all puppies. I spent some time talking to the breeder before buying him as we both felt it was important not to breed with him. I read an article from a lady in America who has had a lot of dogs with a cleft palate. We feed him only dry food and fresh water. As he has grown the cleft both hard and soft has got bigger. Has any body else had a dog with this condition and how did you manage it? What are your thought on having the operation? How did you manage to keep it clear when puppy eats everything he can? Love to hear your thoughts
