Pick of the Litter is a good movie, actually a documentary following a litter of Lab Pups through their initial training and then final 10 week Guide Dog training at the Dogs for the Blind campus. Some of the filming is in Portland OR. Guide Dogs for the Blind has a facility in Sandy OR, but I don't know if the movie was filmed there, since they have more than one location. I do see guide dogs in training quite often locally.

The training is intense, and the pups are fun to watch. It is a good movie for Lab lovers.

A friend told me about this movie, and we really enjoyed it. It helps you understand about training Labs as well as as their differing temperaments. I didn’t realize how much training goes into developing a guide dog.
