We had to put down our 11-year-old lab recently, and the house is just not the same without a Labrador, so we are beginning our search for our new family member. Every dog we’ve ever owned has been a rescue from the dog pound, so I’m not familiar with the process of buying from a breeder, and the type of things that I should be looking for. Our main reason for going with the breeder this time, is to make sure we do everything we can to try and purchase a puppy whose parents have a good health history. I was wondering if somebody could please let me know which health certifications I should be looking for in the parents. Joints, eyes, etc...
