    Hi Guys,

We're getting pretty desperate here with our 6 month old Male lab's sleeping schedule!

In his early days we felt that we did everything right, he took to his crate within his first couple of days, we used to take him out during the night and gradually extended this until he was sleeping through etc. But for the last couple of months he has been waking an hour earlier that he used to and barking until we come downstairs. Other than in the mornings he doesnt bark at all!

We've read so many articles and are still struggling to figure out what's going on here!

Our typical day is outlined below:
Let out of crate at 7.
    Breakfast at 8.
    Sleeps till 10.30
    Walks 11.30 to 12.30
    Sleeps til 4.30
    Plays til 6.30
    Dinner at 6.30
    Sleeps til 9.30
    Plays til 10.30
    Sleeps til 11.30
Out for toilet and crated at 11.30
Wakes between 6.15 and 6.40 and barks til let out of crate.

We have tried taking him out later at night for a final walk - no difference.

We have tried waking him up to pee in the night - no difference.

We have tried ignoring him - no difference.

We have tried going to bed later - no difference.

    Please help!

He's trained you well! He barks, you let him out.
I'd suggest going back to puppy basics- set your alarm for a time before you know he wakes eg 5.30. Wake him, let him out, pop him back to bed. After a few days, start setting your alarm a little later each day.
