Hi everyone, Our nearly 1 year old red lab has all of a sudden decided that waking up at 6.30am is the time everyone should wake up. he isn’t bursting for the loo as when My partner or I do go down (when he’s quiet), we let him out and he’s more interested in some attention from us rather than running to the back door. I’m not complaining as I know 6.30am is a lay in for some people but I’m not sure how I can stop him from whining as I’m worried about the neighbours hearing him. he will do the smallest of whines and groans and then they gradually get a little louder as time goes on - we don’t let him whine for too long, my partner will get a shower and then go down and let him out. I watch him on our pet camera and he’s just laying there - I think he’s just bored and ready to start the day but if anybody has any tips of getting him to just be quiet that would be great. He has got an antler to chew in there, we go to bed about 10.30pm so I guess he’s slept for a good 8 hours so maybe I just need to get up earlier! He also is absolutely fine in his crate during the night and also if we pop out he’s more than happy to sleep until we get back, so I don’t think we have a problem with the actual crate. I was hoping to start leaving the crate door open at night times (he’s in the kitchen with a baby gate on the kitchen door) but I feel that if I do that and he wakes at 6.30am instead of whining he will find something else to do (like chew dining chairs etc?) Hoping someone can give some advice, also feel like we have hit another little adolescent stage so he is acting like a teenager (just wish he would lay in like a teen!!) so maybe it’s just a little phase?
How many times have you tried ignoring her? I know getting through the whining sucks, but ignoring it on one or two occasions isn't going to do the trick. Showbox jiofi.local.html tplinklogin
