Hi all, I am thinking about a puppy with parents with a hip score of 5/7 for the siire and 5/3 for the Dam. I keep finding contradicting figures for the breed average, so far I have come up with 10.8, 12 and 16. So really wondering is the 5/7 really bad? Thanks
Look on the KC/ BVA websites, but I believe that the current median is 9. While 12 isn't ideal, it's not terrible.
Thank you slabs, just wondering if you are vet or a breeder? There seems to be quite a lot of hysteria around hip scores and I am not too sure what to make of good v bad scores and how bad is a bad score? Very kind of you to take the time to reply thank you very much. Sara
