Food Question - Itchy Dog

My 6 year old Chocolate Lab has been on fromm his whole life but gets very itchy ears and is constantly licking his paws any suggestions?

 

Try cutting out chicken.
Not a food answer but he may have a fungal overload(Malassezia) in his paws and ears. This article may help.

I'm currently having an issue with picking out a dog food for the little guy because he's currently itching himself crazy. Let me give a timeline and hopefully I can get some suggestions or maybe a different approach.

My vet also recommended for him to stop eating chicken since he's suspecting he might have a chicken allergy which is common. For itchy ears, if he constantly rubs his ears then for my case that means his hair in his ears is growing and time to remove it or it's time for ear cleaning since wax is building again, you could use a water solution cleaning product stop stop the itch.
