After some advice, we are due to get our new puppy in a week. But the issue is we go away for 10 days the following week. This means she’ll be with us for about 9 days before going to my parents for the 10 days whilst we’re away. As much as we want her home is it fair to be moving her so quickly? And would it cause distress? Our other choice is to leave her with the breeder and collect when back. What are your thoughts?

It will probably be less stressful for her to stay with the breeder until you get back. Presumably the breeder has an environment you approve of ? it’s not ideal, but better than getting her settled at yours, your parents then at yours again. That’s a lot for a little pup to cope with.

I would visit her again but I think it would be sensible to delay collecting her until after your holiday. Anther option would be to ask your parents stay at your house with your new puppy?
