    Hello,
We have a 11-month old female black lab named Emma. She was one of the smallest in her litter and is petite, weighing 43 lbs. currently. We lost our lab mix a while ago to cancer she weighed around 82 lbs. so Emma seems small to us.
We continue to work on training, she seems to have separation anxiety as she wets her crate anytime we leave her by herself though she’s fine resting and sleeping in it at night and other times when we are in the house. We’re trying a “thunder shirt”

Hi, Emma looks beautiful. We have a nearly 6 months old black lab, Nero who is a similar weight to Emma. Females are frequently smaller, Nero's Mum was small, though Dad large. So as long as your vet is happy with Emma's size and growth I would relax. I hadn't heard of a thunder shirt but have just googled it, a bit like swaddling, it sounds worth trying, let us know how you get on with it. When are you thinking of stopping using your crate? Nero is still in his crate but as we've been leaving the door open all of the time for quite a while now I'm seriously considering removing it, but don't want to upset his settled routine.
