Help! Our 9 month old Lab got neutered 10 days ago. This past weekend, he has peed in the house twice, chewed up his entire bed, jumped on our dining room table, and just peed on ME while laying with me on the couch. NONE of these things have ever occurred. He has been an excellent and well-behaved dog since day one. He was fully potty trained at 10 weeks. He has never exhibited such negative behavior. All the research shows that this is not common after a neuter. Any idea what's going on?????

    Hi Kelsey
I suggest you talk to the vet and indicate what has happened and get your dog checked out re his physiology. If nothing then get a dog behaviourist to make an evaluation.

We neutered our boy at 7.5 months, he’s 10 months now and we’ve mostly noticed him “rocketing” a lot less, not much behavioral change otherwise.

I am having similar issues. My 11 month old lab was spayed a few weeks ago and her behavior completely regressed! She is back to trying to chew on furniture, ripped up all her toys and just plain not listening. I feel like I have started over completely. Had to put gates back up and going back to putting house line on to redirect like when she was a puppy! I’m hoping it’s just hormonal and will settle down.
