Hi! I’m new. My name is julie. My 9 month old lab is named Kingsley. He doesn’t like strangers. Not even our nice elderly lady that lives behind our house. He barks loudly and aggressively. When she tries to allow him to smell her he sometimes tries to snap at her. I don’t know how to correct this behavior aside from bringing him inside. But is anyone knocks on the door he goes nuts with barking and tries to get out the door. Please help. Other than this issue he is the perfect most lovable dog. He did this with our vet too and we had to put a muzzle on him in order to accomplish anything at his appointment. Help please

I would urgently consult a behaviourist.

Sounds like he is not very confidence or comfortable. There is a great resource called Absolute Dogs (they have a section dedicated and designed for NBN - naughty by nice dogs). If you would like for information DM me - I would love to share. For now management and prevention is the key. Good for you for bringing your dog inside (away from the stimulation).
