We have a 5month old chocolate lab who is a complete joy. The only wood we have is that his tail hangs loosely vertically down and he doesn't wag it unless really excited. When he is out for a walk his tail will raise slightly but not really wagging, the same happens when he is playing with other dogs. Having said all this he seems perfectly well, healthy and happy. It's just when we have seen other labs their tails are always wagging and horizontal. Any ideas please??

Has it always been like that or is it a recent thing?

It hasn't always been like that.it is just something I have recently noticed. When out for a walk his tail is more horizontal and loose flowing(if that makes sense)but if he stood still it would drop right down again. For a lab it looks so sad even though he is so full of life and bounce.
