Worming and fleas

Hi all,

Hope all is well. We've just been to the vets and have been looking at Otis' worming and fleaing schedule. The vets are suggesting a tablet for each on a monthly basis, which seems excessive (and quite expensive). What does everyone do? What's reasonably priced and good protection?

I got Sophie at 7 weeks old and she just finished her third de-worming at 12 weeks and she deosn't need anymore unless she has worms according to my vet, but the flea prevention and heartworm are monthly for her (unless you do a quarterly dose)

 

Is the flea stuff you use a tablet or a spot on treatment?

 

It’s a once a month chewable tablet.
