    Hello :)
I have a 10 month old female lab who just finished her first heat. Before she was very energetic and almost annoying :p but now she is very calm and like a completely diffirent dog! Is it normal that her behaviour has changed so mich after the first heat or might there be something else going on?
    Best regards,
    Inga and Molly

    Hi Inga
I am not aware of a norm for dogs after finishing heat. The range of behaviours surrounding heat are wide.

Perhaps you might check whether she is showing signs of a false pregnancy.

If change persists, I'd visit her vet. In terms of norms, she is too young to have reached the maturity of an adult.

The only worries with spaying young is bone development. Since your girl isn’t a large breed you should be ok. I would wait until after 1 year old if you can deal with another possible season. Normally around every 6 months or so. It won’t make any difference in personality.
