Hi everyone, we have a 14 week old black lab called Tim. He generally goes out last thing for a wee at 11pm and sleeps through to 6.15am. We are finding he will take himself off into his crate about 8.30 and we end up waking him at 11 to go out. Do you think we should wake him at 11. He always has a wee then but reluctant to get up. Any advice would be great.

I would continue to take him out for a late night wee as I doubt if he could go through from 8.30 till 6.15am yet and then you'd have to get up in the night or he would wee in his crate.

At 14 weeks, my pup had just started to sleep through the night - from 9:30pm to 6:00am, so 8 and a half hours. I would try letting him out a bit earlier at night so he goes a little longer.

My pup at 14 weeks had a last wee at 9pm and slept through until 6am. Give it a try!

14 weeks was about the time my pup also started making it through the night. We go to bed at 8:45-9:00 pm and get up at 5:30. She does wake me up if she needs to go out in the middle of the night but that’s only if she has tummy troubles.
