We have been trying to figure out why our 6mo lab is vomiting yellow bile in the morning. We have added a snack at 10pm consisting of 1/2c kibble and a spoonful of peanut butter and we also moved her breakfast from 7am to 6am. She is STILL vomiting bile. The time she vomits in the morning varies. Sometimes we wake up and see it and sometimes, like this morning, we put her breakfast down at 6am, she doesn’t eat it and vomits bile at 7am. I’m sure she wasn’t eating at 6am because she was feeling nauseous. We then put a little plain yogurt in her breakfast and she ate it right up. I’m just at a loss because I feel like her 10pm snack is pretty big and she’s only going 8hrs before she gets breakfast. She goes longer than that between breakfast and dinner with no problems. I’m not sure what else to try. Any ideas? Thank you!

Hi, I think as she's having food late in the evening and still being sick in the morning I would be talking to my vet.
Why are you giving her peanut butter? This really isn't needed along side kibble.

I gave her peanut butter because I read somewhere that a spoonful of peanut butter before bed stays with them longer because it’s high in protein. When that alone didn’t work and kibble alone didn’t work, I tried doing both. She has been teething lots lately (molars coming in) so now I’m wondering if maybe there is a connection there. This has only been happening consistently the last 4 days. Before that, it was maybe once a month the past two months and that’s it. Anyway, if that’s not it, I’ll reach out to my vet. Thank you.
