I have a one year old, super sweet Lab that I have worked with to walk on a leash, not jump, and stay by me when commanded. He does great in open areas where he can run freely and does not run to people when commanded. However, when we are home and he ignores all commands if someone, or a dog walks down the street in front of my house. He will not come to command and runs to them and barks at them. Is this normal as it’s frustrating and confusing. He is not aggressive and only wants to play but sounds ferocious. Just wondering if this is normal, but do recognize more work is needed for recall.

Hi Ztner, welcome to the forum :)

Take a look at this article on our main site, which includes a section on barking at passers by that I think applies here - I hope it helps!
