    Hi all,

my lovely 20-month old half Golden and half Lab male is a bit too skittish and timid when he meets men. It’s different and much better with the ladies tho. In general he’s really close to me (not that close to my husband), very friendly with other dogs, absolutely adores kids. He’s a socialised dog and has been playing with and meeting other dogs since he was 2 months old. Because of the lockdown he hadn’t much experience of going to other people’s houses.

Is it just the stage and he’ll get out of it or should I be concerned and look into this with a specialist?

If you have male family or friends you could use, just ask them to not look at him, but drop/throw treats towards him. No pressure, they don't need to be touching him. Just let him realise that men are ok.
