I’ve decided after considering many breeds to get an English lab and I’m wondering if anyone can help me decide on sex or possibly advise me on any noted distinctions between the boys and girls?

I suggest talking to breeders and get their opinion - most I talked to suggested that temperament was similar either way and it’s personal preference. Some mentioned that boys are more “cuddly” where females can be more independent. We have two females - we prefer a smaller size and not dealing with male hormones! One is more independent and the other is very cuddly so go figure!

I have had both boys and girls and for me it it all depends temprement and personality, not gender. Get to know some parents, and take it from there.

I have 5 boys and 5 girls. I find the boys much much easier to train. Much less complicated. As the boys are all entire and are used to living with bitches, we don't have any 'boy issues' but if you plan to neuter anyway, then they wouldn't be a concern.
