Hi All, I have found a yellow lab for sale, sire has hip score of 3/3 but dam has not had a hip assessment. The dam’s dam has a score of 7/6 and dams sire has a score of 3/6. Is this a good idea? Elbow scores are 0/0 for all, and DNA tests on sire and dam of the pup are all clear. We will have the pup as a family pet and won’t be working her. Thanks for all the advice!
Difficult one. Can you check her EBV on the KC site? Personally, I'd say it's low risk, but there is still a risk when there are so many puppies available from tested parents.
