Hello I’ll take any advice. Our puppy has started growing and snarling and snapping when he’s being put in the crate. I know it’s something I’m doing wrong and it’s most likely when he gets into his bed and then we have to move him to the crate. I’ve tried catching him before he gets comfy but it’s turning into a bit of a vicious circle now (literally) and I need to address the snarling and “going for me” as I have two small children

Are you physically moving him in there ? Is his bed not already in the crate ?

Hey thanks for replying, he has a bed and a crate. He goes into the crate for regular naps because if he’s just in the bed he gets up too often and wanders round and gets into everything and doesn’t get proper rest

Why Don't you put the bed in the crate and get him used to settling in one place. When he is older you can move the bed out or get another one. We did that with our pup, waited till she was much older before she had a bed in the front room with us. We worked hard initially on settling in the crate and getting her to go in there independently.

We say "puppies to bed" and the puppies whizz to their crates for a small handful of kibble.
