Hi new member here. I have read the Happy Puppy guide and Total Recall books. I have a 12 1/2 week old goldendoodle, that I have had for 5 weeks. I feel that I am doing everything wrong. I haven't started recall training yet as whenever our puppy runs towards me he just bites my feet and legs, so am reluctant to encourage him running towards me. Also, he puts absolutely everything in his mouth so I am often having to chase him to get things off him. Having read both the books I thought I was prepared for what to do, but in reality it is not going to plan ☹️

Welcome, I’ve been lucky with Winnie and so far she hasn’t bit my ankles etc when running back on recall.
Regarding the eating everything, don’t chase your puppy as they see it as a game and they have your attention which is what they want. Have a high value treat ready or a toy so you can take away the bad item& give your puppy something far tastier or fun in return. This worked with Winnie who now doesn’t bother with the majority of bits in the garden etc.
