Hello, we are getting a real Xmas tree and in fact my husband is out right now buying it. I am sat at my in laws with murphy who already have their real tree up and murphy just had a little munch on a bit of tree that had fallen off and it made me wonder whether it is poisonous? Iv googled it and it says that it is mildly toxic but presumably it is for if they have loads of it? Of course I will always be watching and around when he is with the tree as he is crated when I'm out and at night but just wanted to check?

I'm not sure Frankie, we have had real trees before and Lilly hasn't been interested - main thing is tail whacks to low-hanging baubles.
As far as trees go generally, I took the same approach as with the children as youngsters.......if its something really valuable, then move it safely away, otherwise, train the child/dog to leave it alone ;D
    Good luck!

i am not even bothering he would not touch it if i was in, as soon as i go out i just no it would be over,.....it would take me longer than the 2 week it would be up to train him that when i am out don't touch i have not mastered the cushions yet when i am out :)
