For a while now my chocolate lab has had an itching problem. We have tried various diets buy nothing changes. The vet has done blood tests which also show nothing and I’m beginning to think it may be a nerve thing. On various parts of his body, more towards his sides and upper back, as soon as you touch him he starts to scratch. Has anyone else had this problem?

Hi Fabro. I just recently had this problem with my chocolate girl. It improved greatly after giving her an oatmeal bath (I bought commercial oatmeal shampoo). For one reason or another she hadn't had a bath for a couple of months. I've also started giving her a tablespoon of natural greek yoghurt (not sweetened or flavoured, just plain) on her evening kibble. No more itching. Even when I give her a good scratch, she no longer joins in. :) Worth a try and greek yoghurt does not have a lot of lactose so no tummy upsets.
