    Hi,
Our 16 week old fox red lab is having an issue with his lead & collar. Snappy & biting as the collar and lead goes on. Then he chews the lead before leaving the house. Once out he's fine and he never bothers with it. It's purely before hand. I've tried jusr dropping both collar & lead & ignoring the fact that he wants to go out until he stops. Problem is at the next try he starts ll over again. Any ideas welcome.

In this situation, I would avoid the issue. He's very young so will hopefully forget this behaviour quite quickly. The more often he practices the behaviour, the longer it will take to change it.
I'd pop a slip lead on him while he's nibbling a treat in your hand and keep him nibbling until you are out of the door. You can put his collar and lead on en route when he's calmed down a bit. In the meantime, I'd also practice taking his collar on and off at random times, to break to excited association with the walk.
