Hello, We have a 20 week old puppy with this hard lump on each side of her lower jaw. The inside feels like a hard nodule, it doesn't seem to bother her, unless you pick at it, I don't feel anything on the inside of her mouth, we've had her for 9 weeks and they haven't changed. I have searched images all over the internet, asked friends with Labs and asked our vet, everyone seems a little stumped.
    Has anyone seen these before?

Did the vet offer to aspirate the lumps or just feel they are nothing to worry about. If they are symmetrical they may be part of her genetic make up. Might be worth asking the breeder if any other puppy has them or the parents.

Hi, the vet didn't know what they were, she was too wiggly to aspirate. They are not symmetrical, the other side is a little more flat. I've tried to use peroxide on them, no changes. Unfortunately, we cannot ask the breeder, she was turned over to a rescue group and it wasn't a good situation. We are in contact with her sister's owners and she doesn't have them. Thank you for taking a look, I might ask the vet about sedating her to really check them out.

Might be worth getting a photo when she is still that the vet can zoom in on.

Just wanted to give an update. We had to have Nova sedated to have a baby tooth removed, so had cytology done on the bumps and they are clear of any abnormal cells, they didn't have any fluid like a cyst, the vet is still stumped looked all over the internet, and like myself cannot find anything. She said they remind her of scent glands like an iguana. So we are leaving them intact for now since they don't bother her.

    Glad it is nothing sinister.
