Hi, Where do I start I’m looking for some help. I have an 8 month old lab called buster He is the devil in disguise as we call him. Firstly he’s really mouthy and when being told off he will mouth us or just when he is bored which I think is attention seeking we have been told by a trainer to hold him down by his collar until he stops which I wasn’t happy about so I have been taking him out of the room when he starts and giving him a bit of a time out. also he has since he was about 6 months old started barking at other dogs on a walk and since he’s big people think he’s aggressive which makes me anxious but then I feel like I’m just feeding into him being anxious. He’s also started recently barking at people if they go to stoke him and walk away. He also barks for attention a lot at me and my partner and doesn’t seem to understand at all when he’s being told off we tell him off and he barks back. Any help would be much appreciated I feel like I’ve just done something wrong and this puppy I was so excited to get I’ve let down in some way.
Also to add on we have been doing obedience training which he is brilliant at he will do anything for food he can sit stay heel, down everything but we are in a naughty corner becuase of his barking at other dogs. It’s like when we are in the house there is no rules he just won’t listen to anything!
