Our potty trained lab male (intact) has suddenly started doing one poop (only) in the dining room over night. What's going on, how to stop him him?
Do we get very upset at him or just act like we don't notice or?
He knows better and he doesn't poop or pee (otherwise) inside during the day.

    Hi Skye,

just once? Maybe just got caught out.

mid it's just once wouldn't make a big deal of it. If it develop into a regular thing, I would think the vet is your best bet.

I wish, no every night since then. We have a dog door so he can go outside, but he prefers to make one of his poops overnight inside, and make rest outside. Is it some kind of territorial thing or?

Can you restrict his access to that area for a while, to try and break the habit. The area probably smells like his toilet now, so will encourage him to repeat.
