About a week ago I saw a few drops of blood on the floor. I ignored it. I thought it might have been from me getting cut somewhere or my Dogs toe nail.
A week later, I knew it was my precious baby dog.
He will be 8 in April 2024. The blood was dripping from his penis. I took him to the Vet.
They said he had a urinary infection and enlarged prostate.
I am worried to death. He’s my most precious little guy.
Vet told me not to worry. That’s hard to do.
Should I take him to another vet for a second opinion?
The blood is bright red. He drips before and after going pee.
    Has anyone experienced this before.

Please tell me if anyone ever experienced this. A dog life expectancy of 10-12 years just ain’t fair.

If the bleeding has not settled with antibiotics, he needs to go back to the vet for further investigations. Give your vet a call, best wishes.

Is the dog neutered? If he has an enlarged prostate you should seriously consider neutering him. He may also have trouble emptying his bladder which has caused the UTI and you are probably looking at recurrent UTIs if you don't solve the prostate issue.

I just noticed the same thing in my dog. Thought it might have been from where I was sewing and accidently bleed on the floor, but was sitting at home brushing the dog and noticed it under my pit. Its done it twice since then. Took him to see the vet and he doesnt believe it to be UTI as its not in the urine. Hes been neutered about 3 years ago and is now 8. Hes eating, peeing, pooping, drinking nromally. No yelps or nothing.. Vet wants us to monioter as he believes it may be kidney stones. If it persists we take him back for an overnight for in depth scans. Has anyone else found anything or answers?

also i dont want to say but also thinks he might be prostate as well. :( which he told me if it was that it could be fatal. Really hoping its something simple as i love this dog so much.

This sounds really scary for you. Fingers crossed for a good outcome for your pup
