Hi, I have an 11 week old Lab boy and im currently feeding him James Wellbeloved Puppy Up to 6 Months Turkey & Rice. I'm a bit worried im over feeding him , if im reading the chart correctly (picture attached in link below) if he is going to grow to be around 60lbs he requires 640g a day? This seems like a huge amount. Is this correct? https://ibb.co/Jw1rbhmX I'd really appreciate any help, as I cant contact my vet til Monday. Thanks
It seems I was confusing Kg with lbs.... so accrding to the chart at 11 weeks he should get around 370g - 420g?
Hi Lucius, do you know how big his parents are? Based on the size of an average male Lab (30-36kg), I'd have him on 425g a day at the moment, increasing to 470g next week. Maybe 450g then 500g if his parents were large and his vet agreed he needed the extra calories. But I'm afraid I've never fed James Wellbeloved, so I can't offer anything more than my reading of the chart!
Hi, we used to feed James Wellbeloved. It suited my girl well, but the company was bought out and they hiked the prices up massively, so I sulked off and found another food. My fully grown female working girl was on just under 400g daily as I remember. She's about 29kg, a good weight for her. However, it is usually best to ignore the charts and feed the dog infront of you. Companies always want you to overfeed and buy more.
Thanks for the help everyone this is my first dog and i was just a little worried but it seems im hght track with feeding.
