I’ve been using a mat like this but with suction pads on the back for a few years. Initially introduced it to my vet when Toby was neutered. He was very nervous and strong and I knew she would find it difficult to examine his stitches. I put it on the table and whilst he put his front legs up to lick the mat she was able to go under the table and look at his wound! The vet then introduced them to the practise. Now when we go in they have one loaded with meat paste. I also stick it to the fridge when I want to do anything with him including foot baths a few years ago. I will look at the one that lasts longer though as mine have quite big gaps.
