I feel this is a significant milestone in a practical application of Charlie’s gundog training – wanted to share. :) :) :) Charlie has struggled with the smell of roast chicken wafting across his mat and up to now has always needed a reminder. Tonight, success on a single command. Stay while hot roast chicken is eaten. Yippee. :) :) :)
I know this will seem trivial to some, but I was pretty pleased. Now just got to master the dummy… ::)

Thanks! I'm pleased by small things! But I love how the gundoggy stuff helps with being a good pet (let's face it, we're not going shooting any time soon!). I measured his progress in the food he could "stay" through without a reminder - first a single bit of toast, then 2 bits of cheese on toast, then a small pizza, a large pizza...now the heady heights of a leg of roast chicken! Whey-hey! He doesn't try to nick the food if he gets up. Just has a strong urge to be a bit closer to it! ;D ;D ;D
