I'm such a proud mamma today....Chip has finally grasped the art of stealing! I know I know, many of you will think I've lost the plot, but when he arrived with me in June, it took him over a week to wag his tail. He then learnt to play fetch with a ball and a rubber ring, he's been swimming, his social skills are improving no end (no longer hides behind me at the sight of another dog) and now, finally, he's learnt how to steal! A must for all Labradors ;D Don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting he should run off with the Christmas turkey on the big day, but when he pinched a sock last night I was delighted. Today he's run off with my glove and just now he picked his lead up and ran to the office door with it. My boy has finally become a proper Lab and I couldn't be more pleased

Re: Finally!!! I can see your point perfectly. My boy has been quiet and well behaved all day, a perfect dog - which is certainly not a teenage Chocolate labrador. I can't wait for him to get back to normal...when he comes to nick my reading glasses, I'll know all is well again.

Re: Finally!!! Ha Ha you might not feel the same in a couple of days, Poppy a collie x Lab...much more Lab steals them off your feet, plus gloves and tissues out my pocket and has great fun running round the living room at 100 miles an hour.
Re: Finally!!! Congratulations on your boy becoming a fully fledged sock stealer! A milestone in any Labrador's life. Sounds like he's coming along very well, as he slowly gains confidence. You must be doing all the right things.
