I know puppies are very excitable and will nibble and put their mouths around your hand and jump up and stuff but when ever someone goes and strokes her and says hello and they get down to her level she will jump at their face and like snack at them... I can see it is all in excitement and she is wagging her tail and having fun but I'm worried she is going to actually bite someone. Is this normal?

Completely normal! Have a look at this article http://www.thelabradorsite.com/?p=844 - and there is a link to a further article within that about over-excitement. There is also this one about playing safely http://www.thelabradorsite.com/?p=2810 which gives some really good ground rules.

If you use a crate / pen, and she's getting really over- excited, a bit of quiet time can help. It's not a 'punishment', and she should be able to see you and hear you still - it's just that chance to calm down.

Yes, don't worry, completely normal, though annoying, puppy behaviour! She'll grow out of it and will become a lovely, calm, sociable dog. :)

Few! Thank you, I can relax now- I feel so much better.
I'm checking her for it and saying no, so I hope that is right instead of just ignoring it.
    Thank you :D

I had this a few times with Harley. I told everyone who came in to say mo then turn their back and ignore her for a few seconds if she done this to them. It only took a few times for her to realise she wouldn't get attention if she did this. Good luck :)

My old girl Tess was like a baby crocodile as a puppy , but yes , with your encouragement it will ease off and then stop , most of us have been through this, some have the scars to prove it ;)

My Frisbee was what we were calling a "land shark"! He would playfully attack my daughters and almost always cut their skin with his tiny needle teeth. Mostly he was after their skirts and dangling clothing but it seemed like he was going after them! He's turning 6 months in 2 days and he hasn't done anything like that in a couple of months - maybe once in a while here and there when he's already excited but for the most part it's part of his past!

Good luck - it's definitely not a fun part of puppyhood!
