Absolute see the logic - and it's the most sensible strategy.

Soon as Obi hears us put down our cutlery he's on alert for the plates. Anytime he hears the blender start up he's hovering. Plus he drools like a pack of Pavlov's star pupils throughout any meal (though at least we have trained him to stay lying down during meals....so he dribbles on his own front legs and not on the carpet). All entirely our fault (but we went into it knowingly having encouraged 14 yrs of same with our previous boy).

Sam is ace at doing a pre wash for the dishwasher , I actually found Millie on the pulled down door the other day , trying to get into it, but then the dishes are thoroughly washed , I think :)

Both my sister and her mother-in-law have had to have dishwasher repairs in the past owing to the weight of a spaniel on the open door... ;D

We don't use the word 'spoilt' here. I like to think that Obi gets treated in a way that all dogs deserve and need (which also means not getting everything he wants). But if I had to pick something I'd say that being allowed to lick plates and bowls after dinner is pretty close to 'spoiled' ;D Obi also gets to lick the blender after we've blended anything (he especially likes pesto).

Ah yes, barley also gets to sparkle plates and lasagne trays ;D, he loves those

The fact that I took Simba out for a walk during my lunch break yesterday AFTER I spent some of it cleaning up the broken crock pot and mess left in the kitchen from his eating our supper.....that spells spoilt to me....

There you go,just out of interest Julie, what had Charlie massacred before you let him loose on the book? X

That's great, well done, Dex - Angela is safe from killer loo rolls with you around. I might try loo roll later...

It was just a packaging box for something that came in the post. It was what gave me the idea for the book - all the recycling had been picked up that morning, and I didn't have much else. (I'm still justifying the sacrifice of the book, aren't I? ;D)

But, seemingly, find it harder to hold on to your chocolate!

Poor you. I bet Hattie didn't even eat it slowly and savour it either.

I really really feel for you and your missing chocolate Helen
You should get one of those hollowed out "book safes" that you can buy or make one yourself to keep your bar of choccie safe.
    Maybe not ;D ;D

As a rule I am not a chocolate fan, strange I know, but I am stressed and fruit and nut is my tool. Now that book sounds like a great idea Jac, but I didn't tell you Hattie can
    read ;D

Ah yes, the growing population of toys, we have two toy boxes in our house, and at least one toy in every down stairs room courtsey of puzzle ;D and we still keep buying more toys.

And not to mention that we have 8 differnt tubs full of treats and chews, all of differnt sizes though, but we still can't fit all of the treats in the boxes as it is ::)

Yep, a dog can never have too many toys :p. And we have loads more toys in the garden that are banned from the house as they are all muddy, wet, smelly and dsicusting :)
