Hey all Basically I've been sticking to a worming plan for my 21 week old puppy that the vet recommended. It is advocate every month and drontal every 3 months. She wasn't due her next drontal until January but last night she sicked up a lot of worms (look like either roundworms or hookworms). I gave her some drontal straight away. But I just wondered, would I be best to give her drontal monthly for a while until signs of worms have gone? Just want to make sure it's safe to give the drontal more often than once every 3 months. Thanks all
Re: Worming question... Alive, she hasn't recently been wormed because she wasn't due. Drontal was due in January but I had to give it her last night after what happened.
Re: Worming question... Aw bless her, combo of advocate and drontal should have killed them, but hopefully now you have given her a drontal again they will hopefully definately die! How is she in herself?
Re: Worming question... Quick question, is she having the drontal puppy liquid or tablet? Just wondering has she been weighed recently incase dosage changes?
Re: Worming question... She seems happy and playful enough, off her food a bit which is to be expected. So you think it is ok to give drontal more often for a while? And yes we weighed her and gave correct dosage
Re: Worming question... Last one was October 1st so she was due on January 1st. Gave her last night instead and will give her another in a month I think if she still seems off. Thanks
Re: Worming question... When hunter was a pup we wormed him every month until he was 6 months then we went to every 3 months, but I would maybe just check with your vet to make sure they are happy, maybe if she has heavy worm burden she will need doing more often
