I have had my dog at a cardiologist recently as she was a bit more tired than usual. She is 7yrs and has been super fit for years and does agility, doing really well in her competitions. What materialised is that she has an enlarged heart (luckily not life threatening) and has had a series of tests carried out. She has three leaking valves but even with the leaks, she can live a full and active life. Great news. I was intrigued that the cardiologist, who was brilliant, said that often black labs have big hearts (we all know that in terms of the love they give us). Anyone else had experience of something similar?

Glad that your dog is ok! :)

I've it heard that about Labs and hearts - but one reason they are deep chested with rounded ribs is supposedly to accommodate a decent ticker (and lungs) :)

My black lab was certainly a big hearted boy (in the love sense). So glad your girl is ok. :)
