I was at the vet with Otis this morning, for a couple of things. Managed to get a urine sample from him all two teaspoons, and as soon as the vet saw it she said , ah thats got blood in it, so I now have a course of antibiotics for him as its cycstitis. Im not sure how much this is causing him to be unhousetrained, quite a bit I should imagine, so Im going to wait a couple of weeks and see how we get on, without getting a crate. The other thing is I missed a stronghold treatment, I should have given it to him November, and he has what looks like a small patch of mange on his leg. So immediately I got back as instructed he got his stronghold. Maybe he got it from a fox, there are lots about here, think I have some in my garden too. I dont know anything about mange. He is fine in himself, playing and chewing, enjoying his walks, just goes to show how stoic labs are. Looking forward to getting him back to good health, Im sure he will be fine. Just pleased I trusted myself to take him to the vet, as everyone was telling me (not forum people ) that there was nothing wrong. Maggiexx

Glad that you've had that diagnosed :) I'm sure the cystitis would have been a major factor in the house training hassles.
