We woke up to an inch of snow in the garden this morning. Bones was happy but Poppy went absolutely crackerdog - butt-tucking wildly round and round the lawn like a mad thing! She was so excited she couldnt even pee for ages! 8) Did you have snow in the uk this morning?
Re: SNOW no snow but a definite drop in temperature here in Beds 3 c here first thing and not much warmer now- snow has been threatened though
Re: SNOW oh lucky you Karen , we rarely get snow in Cornwall , I`d love Sam to experience it, just bitterley cold but sunny
Re: SNOW We had a lovely walk this afternoon, bit bizarre to see snow on the trees while they still have leaves on, but it was very beautiful and the dogs loved searching for the dummies in the snow... Obviously it is harder work for them though, and i was glad we were using the orange rubber ones! There was a shoot here in the forest yesterday - very different to the uk - it was a driven shoot and they were hunting wild boar, of which there are plenty. Pops was not at all concerned about the gunfire, which i was glad of. Sadly I dont think there will be any opportunities here for her to be a gundog as we understand it in the uk. Ah well - we shall just have to keep her busy with lots of dummy training. Toby (my other half) had working cockers back home, and he is really enjoying training our little Poppy - he says it is a very different experience with a Labrador! ;D
Re: SNOW No snow here either, but hailstones briefly this afternoon and frost on the car this morning. Time to bring the fuchsias in, I think!

She does it sometimes when playing with Molly our golden puppy. Not too many people know what butt-tucking is. Poppy obviously was having fun in the snow Karen & Sophie
Re: SNOW i'd never heard the term before, but I think I know what it is ok. Lady does it every now and then when she is really happy. She used to do it a lot as a puppy.
Re: SNOW My old Bones did it the day before he died! Daughter and I had been shopping and he was so happy to see us when we came home that he did a short butt-tuck scamper on the front lawn! (Then he got tired and had to have a little rest on the couch to recover... ).
Re: SNOW Hattie butt tucks all the time especially when she is playing with Charlie and her other friends. She goes at some speed with her butt tucked in too!! It's very funny ;D Helen x
Re: SNOW Sam does it too , round the garden especially if he has a friend to play, just love to see them
