Well the weeks of resting have rolled past surprisingly quickly and Tarka is coming on in leaps and bounds (quite literally now!). We are now up to 4 miles walk (steadily and cautiously) or a bit of flat running and playing. Today was the first day I let her run flat out on flat grass and to see the sheer joy on her face as she galloped at full speed across the grass coming back to me from a long memory retrieve was worth all the carrying, restricting, lead walking, loss of shooting and general rubbish that comes with having a lame dog. She has suddenly become much more playful again, teasing the other dog, stealing socks and generally being a puppy (she's three.....). I think she was in a lot more pain for a lot longer than I thought, and suddenly she is not in pain and feeling great again. Another month of caution and she'll be back to full fitness again, hurrah, hurrah.
Re: Update Tarka shoulder tendon injury That's brilliant news for you and for the lovely Tarka, I would love to have seen her in full 'flight' xx
Re: Update Tarka shoulder tendon injury Great news,I'm glad it went by reasonably quickly, that will give Julie hope.it's lovely hearing that full out 'gallop' noise when they are at full pelt x
