Does anyone else use these? ...

I first came across them a dozen years back when I started with a new trainer who used them. I've found them to be fantastic - don't get messy in your hand, are super tasty for the dog, and are tiny enough to be a real instant reward leaving them wanting to work for more.

My advice would be to buy the small size (round 'pill' about the size of the end of a biro). Of course, dogs would prefer the bigger ones but the small really are great for instant yummy reward. The pic on the homepage shows their actual size better than I could describe.
They saw the end of me having smelly pockets and smeary hands when training and a Lab sized dog could have up to 150 a day so no worries about affecting their food allowance .... that's a HUGE amount! I've always used them singly so have never managed to feed more than a dozen to twenty a day.

They look a really good size.
    I like this bit.....
"Warm the treat in your hand to release the characteristic aroma of liver, break a few over your dog’s nose, enjoy their undivided attention".
I use little liver mini-bones which are already quite small though could be halved, but I do believe that variety and surprise is the best lure so I am really rather taken by the little variety of pots.

I have been looking at these for ages and almost bought the same variety pack that you have but bought other stuff with my christmas money instead. I got a free pot of the small liver ones at discover dogs but have not used them yet. I really want to try them with barley, and see if they will get him motivated. If they have a stand at crufts i will defo get some there as i am saving up loads of money to spend at crufts and stock up on treats.

These are really tempting - I do wish they would give the calorie values for something like this though. It's ok saying low fat, but when the pup is a weight watcher, I need more info!

They look good. Are they suitable for sensitive stomachs do you know?

    I'm a bit paranoid about that. ::)

Ps. Just ordered some arctic cod ones. Can't go wrong with fish. ;D

Thanks MMM for the link. I got a treat pouch for Christmas and was thinking only yesterday I needed to find some small tasty treats and extend my clicker training. I got Brain Games for Dogs for my birthday so I need more treats than just the kibble I take from their food.

    Thank you

I've always been really fussy what we feed DD4DD and the liver treats have never been a problem. No idea of the calories but why note pop them a note and ask .... they've always been super friendly when I've contacted them

Here's what Barker & Barker say about calories ...
"Essentially protein and carbohydrates contain 4 calories per gram and fat has 8 calories. Therefore each of our Little Liver Treats contain approximately 1/10 of one calorie and the Small Garlic and Liver Treats approximately 1/7 of one calorie. As you can see they really are low fat and ideal for repeat rewarding"

    Hmmmmmmm

I have tried 2 variety's of these with barley, the little liver ones and the cranberry and liver ones both of which barley has turned his nose up at and refused to eat. Now he is a fussy dog but will do anything for liver but he does really hate these, very strange.

On the other hand puzzle likes both variety's, but she is a labrador and will eat anything.

I will see if i can get some of the fish and some of the fruit and veg ones next time we visit scampers and see if he likes them, if not then he is one unsatisfied customer
