How big was penny at 8 weeks?
    [/quote]

This is awful but I honestly can't remember!! Lol

I can remember reading somewhere that the average lab puppy is something like 4-5kg at 8 weeks old and Penny didn't hit that til she was about 11 weeks maybe... Seems so long ago! I wish I'd written it down and kept a weight chart for her.

Amy has always been skinny but is looking a bit bigger now. Not sure if it's because she is growing or if she needs to loose a bit of weight.

I don't have all the numbers i wrote down anymore. well they're here somewhere but don't know where.

i just remember her being 2.5kg when she came home and has risen slowly ever since. a lot of people feel (including some quite well thought of breeders) that these small labs are some how wrong for the breed and that we are going to extremes both ways.

the vet reckons she's never seen a lab under 22kg. she's insinuated that our eevee is part spannel. cheeky mare ;D (for the avoidance of doubt i adore my vet).

I like my small lab :) 24.6 kgs last week but we've met some of the big boys....Sam and Charlie and they're gorgeous too ;D

The funny thing is Riley and Sam actually look quite similar just on a completely different scale!

Eevee is 14.75kg at 8 months

That's light! Well, it seems so to us.

    This was my Charlie:

    8 weeks 6.5kg
    9 weeks 7.5kg
    10 weeks 9kg
    3 months 11kg
    4 months 17kg
    5 months 22kg
    6/7 months: 25kg
    8 months: 25kg
    9 months: 27kg
    10 months: 28.5kg
(And now we have stayed at 28.5kg - but he is getting thin now)

Charlie's uncle, at 11 months old, weighed 36kg! And he isn't fat.

I agree there Barbara , they are very alike , apart from Sams whopping 38 kilo frame , I`m glad its all bone and muscle , rather than fat, in fact he sometimes looks too lean x

We went out with our new friend the 13 week old Labrador puppy today. He didn't stay the course obviously, but he was fairly similar in size to our Eevee. He had her pinned to the floor several times. You wouldn't believe that they were the same breed or so different in age.

He's a show lab and just lush. Looks like a polar bear.
