Re: Amys ears Do her ears feel warm Jade or do they have a musty smell to them , can you see any muck in there ? If you are worried , pop her to the Vets for peace of mind x
Re: Amys ears Agree with Kate. Especially if she shakes her head, or holds her head tipped to one side. It is very easy for dogs to pick up ear mites, but they can be got rid of easily with medication.
Re: Amys ears
I have has a sniff and they just smell like Labrador!
Are they always wonky? Or does she realign them when listening? I do see what you mean - but am not sure what the answer is. Only dog I've known whose ears went wonky when he was about six months old turned out to be down to an unsupervised 3 year old and a golf club... He had a kink in one ear for the rest of his life, but it gave him a lot of character... Can't suggest anything other than a quick vet visit... Clare
Re: Amys ears My friends black lab has a squiffy ear, no idea why but when she pricks her ears up they are fairly even again it's just when she has them down like Amy's in your picture they're on the squint. Definitely double check with the vet if you're worried
Re: Amys ears They do even out sometimes. In fact when they do my children inform us she has "proper labrador ears"
Re: Amys ears Penny's ears sit like that all the time and there's nothing wrong with them - no infection or trauma. When she's listening to something they look like normal lab ears but most of the time they're just weird lol I think that's why so many people ask what she is! When her ears aren't sitting properly she doesn't look like a lab! She'd be no good for showing lol!
Re: Amys ears I used a wash the vets gave us in the past. Tonight she is shaking her head more than ever. Could that just be the wash? Poor baby. Looks like vets tomorrow.
