Anyone have any snowy pics with a nice Labrador or two? We are looking for a lovely photo for our Christmas message this year. If so, please don't put it up here, but check out the article for info.

    Thanks, Pippa

Just thinking .....sadly....Monty will never see snow. He will never have that joy of diving into it and tossing it about like he does with water. I sooooo wish he could have that experience. Oh well ....guess there has to be a downside to living in a sub-tropical climate eh!

    ???

It is fun watching dogs play in the snow, but I bet you wouldn't swap your climate for ours :)

I don't think this will work - a complicatedly hidden picture, but one I love (although not brilliant quality)

Pippa and co, do you respond to emails sending in dogs in snow photos? I sent a couple but didn't hear anything. Just wondering if they got to you, or if you are inundated and not ablemtomrespond individually...?

You may not believe me, Pippa, when I say that there are times when I would swap climates in a heartbeat. On those days when it's so hot and humid that one lives indoors with air conditioning going full blast and Monty wishes that he could remove his coat. 8) It is too hot to go outside and we have to do walks very early in the morning ....like 5 am ....and after dark in the evening because only then is it tolerable. Those are our height of summer days ....the days most of us dread....and it is then that I long to be back in England, albeit rugged up or whatever. And ....the height of our summer is around Christmas time.....try to imagine that! It puts a whole new meaning to the 'white Christmas' ...white hot !! Christmas decorations etc just don't look right in this sort of climate and even after being here for 45 years, I can't feel that it's right!

    Hi Karen

I do normally respond to emails. I am so sorry. Wednesday was a bad day for me. I was so wrapped up with Meg, and have got a bit behind.

Your photos of Bones are absolutely beautiful. I have no idea how we are going to choose!!

Thank you all so much for sending in your photos. We will try and find a way of putting up as many as we can. They definitely should be shared! :D

Thank you Pippa, no problem at all! Just wasn't sure if I had used the correct email address... :) Really glad to hear that Meg is doing so much better. Hope you manage to get a bit of down time after all the drama and excitement! Karen

    Re: Dogs in snow?

    No problem.

You had the image url just as it should be. But the image url needs to be wrapped up in a parcel with image tags.

There are two image tags, one to open

    img

    and one to close

    /img

And each of these has to be encased in square brackets like so

You had left the second bracket off the opening image tag and the first bracket off the closing image tag like this

    A very common mistake.

    Pippa :D

    Re: Dogs in snow?

Aha! Thanks Pippa - I will try again soon whenever I think of another suitable pic!
(will just have to remember "look in the snow post" ha ha)
I'm looking forward to seeing all the pictures that you have been emailed - I always have my hands firmly in gloves or pockets when out in snow so a camera is usually not handy - the one above was taken through the window from the warmth of the house. :D

    Good luck with your decisions!
