Grrrrrr, when is barley going to have a break from being ill/injured . So the boots are causing more harm than good, and are being threaten to go in the bin . Poor boy has got two sore legs from the boots that are stopping his feet from getting sore. On his left leg his dew claw has dug into his leg causing it to bleed :'(. Then on his right leg, the worst one his dew claw has dug in slightly, but not much, but the main problem is that the skin above his dew claw and around it has been rubbed red raw. Both been shaved a little so antiseptic spray could be applied. he had to be muzzled for this, a few growls about his right leg, lots of trying to lick and shoving his muzzle and face in the way so i can't see what i am doing, he is not stupid. During the walk he did not complain at all, no stopping, no leg lifting, some limping but that is his bad front leg, which has also got worse all of the sudden, he has been built up back to his normal exercise, every other day, then a short walk on the other days and he has been doing great with this, until today when he started limping again, not much just slightly, noticed it at start of walk so he only got a short one. Yesterday his back legs were very sore and today its his front leg. I am getting impatient to get him x-rayed, both back legs and front legs, just to check every leg and make sure nothing bad is going on with his front legs as well as his back legs.
Re: Here we go again Poor Barley :'(. He is going through the wars at the minute. I hope you manage to get the X-rays done soon x
Re: Here we go again Oh my this is so frustrating, I am sure! Sending sympathy and pats to Barley and hugs to you. I hope it gets sorted out soon!!!
Re: Here we go again Oh poor Barley and how frustrating for you! I hope he feels better soon and you can get him x-rayed
Re: Here we go again Must be frustrating Annabelle ,trying to fix one ailment and creating another one your heart must sink when you see him start to limp again.you couldn't do anymore for him though ,you've been really careful about resting him and building him up gradually.the X-rays and a through check up will give you a clearer picture of what's going on x
Re: Here we go again Front leg limping gone after a few days of rest, wounds healing well so on the mend for now
