I was wondering how much yiur 3 month old lab weighed?
Btownie was born Oct 8 2013. She is already 34 pounds. Vet said that is not a normal size but she is purebreed. Vet apxes heradult weight at 80 to 90 pounds.

I don't know what everyone weighed at 3 months but we certainly have dogs on here around the 80lb mark as adults. Labs do vary hugely in stature and weight. As long as your vet doesn't think she's overweight I wouldn't worry.

Wow she is a big Lab,
Indie was born on 5/11/2013 she is now 10 weeks and 7.8kg (17lb) She is a small working Lab. She has gained 1.2kg in the last week so if she continues with that weight gain for another 2 weeks (3 months old) she will be 10.2 kg (22.5lb) approx?
They are all different depends on parentage etc.

Wow that is light (or maybe Max is chunky). He is a working lab, two days younger, 3rd October and as of Wednesday was 12.5 kgs. There was another one on Wednesday a week older and only 9.5 so quite a bit of variation out there.

    hi! :)

i wouldn't worry... if you're feeding your furbaby properly and not leaving food out all the time, and your vet isn't concerned, then it'll probably be fine. puppies are just like human babies... everyone is wildly different.

for an analogy, i have 2 children... my son has been in the 99th percentile for height and weight ever since he was born... my daughter has been firmly in the "average" percentile for both.

labs are the same. some will be big wonderful beasty beauties... and others will be shorter, slimmer, and more delicate.

    the wonder of genetics!

    :)

    Hi :)

I weighed mine last Tuesday when she came home at 9 weeks old - 6.7 kilos. I suspect she'll be closer to 7.7 kilos when I weigh her next Tuesday.

Our 6-7 month old bitch pup has had real problems putting on weight, she had two serious bouts of sickness that have really slowed her down. She was the second smallest pup of a litter of ten and from working stock.

    Born 9 Jul 13
16 Sep - 5.7kg (10 weeks, the day after we collected her, vet said she looked good and she got her second jabs)
    2 Oct - 5.7
    24 Oct - 6.6
    11 Nov - 7.4
    11 Dec - 9.0
10 Jan - 10.4 (this is the day we decided enough was enough on current food and changed her back to x3 meals a day and put her on hypo-allergenic)
    17 Jan 10.95
24 Jan 11.55 (so for the last two weeks she is gaining at approx 0.6 a week, an improvement)

As a comparison Widgeon is 8-9 months (born may 10 2013)

    Jan 2014 - 29.8kg

He is also a working dog and his ribs are easily felt. It seems they really are all sorts of sizes!!

I can't remember what Penny weighed at 3 months, I think it was around the 6kg mark.... She's tiny!

She will be a year old tomorrow and weighs in at a grand total of 18.5kg!!! She's from working stock though so is slim and leggy lol but even so I still think she's on the smaller end of working type labs.

Just got back from the vets - self-inflicted 'wall of death' injury for Harvey's right/rear paw!. Anyway, nothing serious - anti-inflamatory and taking it easy (yeah right!) for a week. Harvey was weighed as part of the overall check-up and, having just hit 5 months old this week, is now at 21kg (he is also a working line dog as, it seems, are many of the dogs represented here).

No idea how accurate it is but this site claims to predict eventual adult weight for puppies: http://www.puppychart.com/

Puzzle will be 8 months next sunday, last weighed 23.3kg which was around a week or so ago, if anything she is on the heavier side, but ribs still easy to feel and has a nice waist line.

    Re: puppy weight?

this is the method i was told to use.... divide current weight by age in weeks to calculate "weight per week," then multiply by 52 to get projected (approximate) weight at one year old....

i'm hoping this is not right, as it comes out to 104 pounds for orion. LOL
