As the new law draws a little nearer, microchipping is still a contentious topic. This article was posted last week on the main site: Should you microchip your Labrador
Re: Microchipping - is your dog chipped? I've always had my dogs chipped starting long ago at Crufts when it was in its beginnings. There were worries about migration and rejection but, for us, all went well. Am a great supporter of the movement to get scanning made compulsory for Vets, wardens, rescues etc
Re: Microchipping - is your dog chipped? yes we have oscar chipped its always good to be on the safe side - especially when you have an adventurous pup. ;D
Re: Microchipping - is your dog chipped? Compulsory here. All my dogs (bar Ruby) have been rescue dogs and the RSPCA and Labrador rescue insist on it. Would do it anyway as I did for Ruby when we got her. My first ever Dog; Zig, had a chip which did migrate from his scruff down his right shoulder. never a snag, the vet just had to search for it. It was on his tag as well that chip in Right Shoulder. Couldnt find Finley's when we got him so they re did him, now he scans with 2 chips. Ruby was chipped by P A H by a megga learner : and ended up with 2 as well. No harm done just registered both numbers with me.
