hi all, we got oscar neutered eight days ago and i was wonder when should we stop putting the ocne on his head at night, only we don't won't him to start chewing/licking his wound. Thank you
Re: neutered Does Oscar have the cone on during the day ? if not, has he shown any signs of tampering with the wound ? Eight days should be enough to remove the cone if he isnt bothering too much , they do hate them so much . I guess I`ve just been lucky, Sam never wore one and neither did Millie following her recent spay but if you have a dog who messes with the wound , they are invalueable , are the stitches disolving ones ?
Re: neutered hi kate, its only at night we leave the cone on just incase he does decide to chew/lick the wound. It depends sometimes he does try to lick it, but he is getting better its just now and again. Yes the stitches are dissolvable.
Re: neutered If he is giving it the odd lick , I`d be tempted to leave the cone on at night just for a couple more days , then you can relax
