Yesterday Nero started humping his poor teddy! At just under 4 months old I thought he is a little young to be doing this. Anyone had their pup start humping this young?
Re: Humping Oh yes it's normal. : I have two labs, brothers. I tell them it's wrong on so many levels but it makes no difference !!!!!
Re: Humping Agree , its very common , try to distract before it becomes too much of a hard habit to break , remove Teddy when he starts and offer him something else . Pups will often just fixate on one toy to hump , so taking it away will help
Re: Humping Yes, at about 4 months, Charlie would hump one of his mats and occasionally a cushion. We'd remove the mat/cushion. He would try to get it back to hump. It was just a bit of an attention getting game. We removed that mat and cushion permanently and the humping stopped completely. He is 11 months now, and intact, so I'd say it's a good idea to just stop it before it becomes a habit.

Re: Humping Hmmm good point. It's funny now but it prob wont be when hes fully grown and humping peoples legs!
Re: Humping Lmao, sorry but I found this really funny. ;D Harley started humping a teddy at 10 weeks old, I couldn't stop laughing so hubby had to take the teddy off her and luckily she hasn't done it since
Re: Humping I was horrified when our little boy started humping our lovely fluffy next cushions at 10 weeks old!! "Who taught him that?!" were my cries LOL. At least I know he has taste though
Re: Humping Layla (girl) humped me from 8 weeks old... she stopped a week ago (she is now 5 months). She did it on first seeing me in the morning and when she got really excited..... not very pleasant .... my left leg is now getting a reprieve LOL x :
